Berryden Road / Hutcheon Street Junction

Lewis Macdonald has welcomed the decision taken by Aberdeen City Council's Environment & Infrastructure Committee to keep Mount Street as a one-way one-lane road with on street parking.

Plans previously published by the Council included two lanes of traffic down the quiet city street, and the removal of residents' parking. Following a campaign from the local community, the Council have agreed to drop those plans.

Lewis Macdonald said: "This is a step in the right direction for the residents of Mount Street. I am very pleased by this victory for people power and I hope that the consultation process can now go ahead, as previously agreed, to reach an early conclusion that is in the interests of local community"

Further details of the next stage of consultation through workshops will be published soon.
